i need a new project. like bad. i'm jonesing.
the projects i've had to reject:
1) move to brooklyn. can't do that until lease is up in oct. '08.
2) make a baby - same as above. also, there's no way i'm going to be a knocked up 30mumbleyear old who is going up and down those 5 flights of stairs.
3) marathon - again, that's for '08.
4) becoming catholic. i just have to really think about this one. currently, it wouldn't be for the right reasons.
what i really want my project to be? the pbs animated show i was hired for ... sadly, it's on infinity hiatis.
but it's fall and that's a time of death! huzzah
Yesterday, I taped my second episode of Nate the Great. I played Jimmy, a pirate loving 7 year old. He's a sweet bean and he makes his appearance in "The Case of the Perryville Pirate", episode 7. I'm not sure, but he will probably be coming back. (fingers crossed) I got to see (and now you do to) a picture of Harry. He's apparently one of the gang and is reoccuring. I taped the first one with Harry in November - "Crime After Crime", episode 3 - and tape the next one on Tuesday of next week - "Election Detection", episode 8. I hope that's not it for Harry, but if it is, I'm still the luckiest girl in the world.
To say that I'm excited is like saying that Pol Pot had some issues. Before I left for the studio (STUDIO, like a place where actors work! actors! like i am sort of), I had to get a shitload done at the job. I was so stressed. And then, I got there. And, I got to sit in a kitchen where they had a big table for me to sit and remember what I sounded like when I auditioned. And, I got all the water I wanted. And, a clementine. And, if I had wanted, I could have had a bowl of cereal or a pop or 12 pops. And, I got to just to prepare for my close up. And, then I got to go watch these AMAZING people work. The lead is just out of this world. She's worked out of LA because she's just got another series. Plus, did I mention she's the newest puppet on Sesame Street? Yeah. I want to name drop. I really, really do. Because, it's the coolest experience I may have ever had. But, I feel kind of gross too. Like I'm using these people. So, let's just say that I'm a working apprentice to some of the greats in the voice over business.
I'm going to try and shut up about it for awhile.
